Prudence is the virtue that allows us to determine what’s right and what’s wrong and then act accordingly. It’s the daily habit we develop of making the best decisions about what actions to take in any situation.

Basically, Prudence is sound decision making. All of us want to make sound decisions and we want kids to make sound decisions especially as they approach adolescence and as they become adults. Prudence, like all good habits, needs to be developed. We just can’t expect our kids to make sound decisions if they are not taught how to make them; or lead by our example.
